I've now heard from Gustavo, who says it's a smear. He thinks the people at truthaction.org are behind it, since they have been posting nonsense about him for years, he says, and even trying to get him in trouble at work by sending accusatory emails to his boss and others at Harvard. I asked him whether he didn't want the pages taken down, and whether blogger.com couldn't track down the server the false pages came from.

name Col. Jenny Sparks -- I can't even remember -- trying to blame me
for some sort of fracas that happened regarding a D.R. Griffin speech.
They said because I am a lawyer I was responsible for solving the
turmoil. What a crock. I don't even know these people nor was I present
at the alleged fracas. Sparks went on to try to discredit me online and
make bizarro video tapes. I really don't know what their problem was. I
am just an ordinary person who doesn't believe the 9/11 myth --- one of
millions. To this day I haven't a clue what their whole spaz attack was
about, but it could be that I was doing things like giving 9/11 info to
the Oregonian and working on the Topoff drill, etc. They think they
stopped me perhaps. Another crock. By the way, the cc to my address is a
feature of the Yahoo group settings. I am going to change it so I don't
get a cc of my own emails.

in Portland, the same as I would want to avoid getting into guessing
games about who they most probably are. You mention Petros. I read his
2007 "Merchants of Pus" article and found interesting information in it,
but at the same time other things that seemed quite dubious, notably his
virulent criticism of Webster Tarpley - who is perfectly all right in my
book, I listened to his program regularly for a good while and he never
once mentioned Lyndon Larouche, for example - and his apparent readiness
to accuse those who may have spoken of the clearly demonstrated Israeli/
Mossad involvement in 9/11 as being "neonazi anti-Semites".
I heard from Gustavo again, who says that if he troubled himself about
such smears he wouldn't have time for much else, and so he ignores them.
He calls this one "a bad satire not to be dignified with a response".
I still think he should have the pages removed, but it's his choice.
I also got a couple of notes from G P <gastropod29@yahoo.com>, who
said he'd BCC'd his message to many people at the request of fonebone,
who had originally issued the "heads up". So it apparently wasn't
personally directed to you. He says that the commented strangeness
in the format was probably due to "stray code from page source" and
that disabling rich text would avoid it. I don't really understand that
but am not going to worry about it. This whole thing is just too weird -
which may be the idea.
