Petros Evdokas persecuted by the CIA or STRATFOR Drama Queen?

Since around 2004 Petros Evdokas has bawled he and his fake indymedia collective were a target of the CIA, milking this anarchist cred for all it's worth. He spammed this across IMC; one example:

INDEPENDENT MEDIA UNDER ATTACK

Cyprus IMCista Investigated by United States Intelligence Services
17 Jul 2004 20:16 GMT

Last week we learned that the US Central Intelligence Agency directed the US Embassy in Cyprus to instruct the Criminal Investigation Division of the police in Cyprus to investigate an IMCista who is politically active both in the US and in Cyprus. Petros Evdokas has been living in Portland, Oregon, USA recently and is one of the volunteers and journalists for Cyprus Indymedia

The intelligence investigation is based on an article he wrote for Cyprus Indymedia documenting some of the manipulations by US intelligence operations using the United Nations to influence the recent referendum in Cyprus on the "Annan Plan" (the UN's plan to reunite the island in an apartheid-style arrangement). The article has just been republished by IndyMedia due to renewed interest by newspapers and other political organizations. [ read the article ]
We're trying to publicise this and let people know what's going on. The investigators questioned the author's parents and wanted them to state in writing whether he constitutes a "threat to US interests". The implications of this episode go beyond mere harassment of an activist's and journalist's family. This case illustrates the US policy of interference in even the most minute internal affairs of other countries and it shows the degree to which the local authorities jump when the US says to.

Following is a segment of a writtten dialogue between Petros and one of two independent filmmakers who are on the island right now doing documentaries on the situation there:
.... One benefit, is that our people can see a lot from the Empire's intervention ...through our case we are able to show that:
1. The Empire is threatened by exposure and documentation of its vile and despicable domination, its political, ideological and financial control of large sections of the BiCommunal Peace process. Even if our opposition is "only" words, these words seem to make a difference,
2. The spineless co-operation of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus with the directives of that "Certain Intelligence Agency" (who has ever heard of an independent Republic, simply following the directives of a foreign Embassy without question or protest?), reveal how much really, to what a terrible degree, Cyprus is still a colony of the global Empire. The academic term for is "neo-colony", but who wants to be splitting hairs over definitions?
3. The fact that there are at least 2 independent filmmakers who are aware of this situation, and who understand the meaning of this effort to silence us by intimidation, gives courage to our people to continue our work. Knowing that other independent media workers such as yourselves appreciate what we do, and are aware of and concerned about the risks of independent journalism on issues surrounding the BiCommunal Peace process and its manipulation by the US intelligence operations, and who appreciate the need for building unity between Turks and Hellenes in the region on the basis of *opposition*, not servitude, to the Empire, makes it all more worthwhile and less scary for us to continue our work.
A friend and comrade here in the States, remarked that this investigation against IndyMedia and me is really a very instructive case study of the whole process of how the US Empire has branched itself into the minutae of the administrative machinery of not only a tiny and defenseless country like Cyprus, but of an international project of the United Nations (note the recent revelations and public admission that even Kofi Annan's office at the UN Headquarters was under surveilance by the same "Certain Intelligence Agency"). The blending of diplomatic action, surveillance and covert operations machinery, computer administration systems, police intimidation and military force, and above all financial domination all radiating from the core of the global Empire and extending into the very fabric and tissue of every community on the planet, paints a good picture of a world "under the thumb" of the oppressor. Referring to the action of the US Embassy in this case against me, he said "with diplomats like this, who needs generals?"
Our case has been able to demonstrate:
a. total subversion and control of the United Nations administrative machinery (at least its Cyprus mission) by US intelligence operations,
b. total subservience of the Government of the "independent" Republic of Cyprus to a "Certain Intelligence Agency" of the US and to a foreign Embassy,
c. complicity by many of the "heroic" individuals who are active in the BiCommunal process, but who seem to be more accountable to that foreign Embassy than to our own peoples' mobilizations for freedom and democracy among our communities in both the north and the south (many BiCommunal activists have been notified of this intimidation, why are they silent now? For them, it's just the same as when they were silent about the invasion of Iraq, they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them),
d. the tiny and "insignificant" Cyprus IndyMedia has a real role to play in the unfolding historical process, that what we say and do makes a difference, and it does have something of an impact in the efforts to create a world free from domination by corporate influence and authoritarian state power.
Our activities - yours and ours - as independent journalists and activists in the global liberation movement provide us with a unique, double benefit : - the occasional opportunity to experience that our work somehow, even in small ways, helps to empower our communities, build bridges toward international Peace, and help the movement to disarm (in some future day) the largest killing machine in the Solar System; - also provide us the opportunity to plunge into fear, despair, and helplessness (an emotional daily staple, for some of us), during most of the time that we spend doing this work, not knowing whether it is of any value ...until "the man" comes knocking.

If at this time Evdokas was a STRATFOR "subscriber", the article is a stinking pile of manure.

Ask yourselves: why is Evdokas the indymedia warrior USING ONE OF HIS PERSONAL EMAILS TO "SUBSCRIBE" TO AN INTELLIGENCE AGENCY DOING CIA WORK IF HE'S BEEN ATTACKED BY THE CIA?

Most likely answer: Evdokas is a FAKE and cyprus indymedia was set up as a honeypot to trap anarchists. English speaking IMC missed this bs going down in 2010:

http://pdx911truthalliancedramatica.blogspot.com/2012/04/imc-process-concerning.html

http://pdx911truthalliancedramatica.blogspot.com/2012/03/imc-europe-about-indymedia-cyprus.html

Recently Evdokas was caught allowing a holocaust denier he knows personally, Tim Titrud, to post on a list Evdokas moderates.

The second link...proving Petros Evdokas and Tim Titrud are using the same email list years after telling people they think each other are agents or something... should be:
link to 3.bp.blogspot.com

When confronted on cyprus indymedia, Evdokas vandalized the article with conspiracy bs and DISABLED OPEN PUBLISHING. (On April 12th publishing was opened up with mandatory registration. LOL)

Now he's trying to con a US free speech institute into funding him. What Nick Merrill may not know is Evdokas' "persecution" by the CIA was covered by Signs of the Times in 2004 just as his story was breaking news:

Government Admits Investigation Against Indymedia and Petros Evdokas Initiated by US Intelligence

28 Jul 2004

The scandal is unfolding in gigantic proportions... and we can hardly keep up with the developments. Responding to a publicity and solidarity campaign by Indymedia, the Government of the Republic of Cyprus has been forced to admit that they were acting under orders from the US Government to carry out an intelligence investigation of Cyprus Indymedia and of one of its founding members, Petros Evdokas, in order to assess whether he "constitutes a threat to US interests."

After a series of Government lies and denials about the case collapsed, Members of the Parliament, the ruling Party, and member Parties of the ruling coalition were drawn into the public dialogue and shamed into taking a position on the issue. The Union of Editors - the most influential institution of establishment journalism - issued a rare and scathing critique of the way the affair is being handled demanding an investigation and response from the Government.

And now the Minister of Justice and Public Order has been shamed into issuing a written statement admitting to the facts, including a directive to the Police in polite words which are equivalent to "get back on the leash", instructing them how to handle issues revolving around the right to free expression.

Police had interrogated the family of Petros Evdokas a few weeks ago and, during the affair, inadvertently blurted out that the source of this investigation was a directive by the CIA. After a series of denials and cover- ups (chronicled below) the Police Headquarters issued an official statement on Friday admitting to everything that Indymedia had accused them of, namely that directives of the CIA and the US Embassy have priority over their own mission which, believe it or not, is to protect the tiny and independent Republic from foreign intervention. [...]

By Monday, the scandal had reached the highest echelons of Government, with the Minister of Justice and Public Order being forced by the public outcry to apologise, essentially, for the behaviour of his Police and for their collusion with a foreign power to serve political intrigues. [...]

* The global context

IndyMedia faces challenges on a daily basis on a global scale. We are the unofficial organ of expression of a the whole planet- wide mobilization to resist the Empire - it's understandable that the Opposition will do anything to destroy a voice which is an organizing tool against the globalized domination of the earth by corporations and authoritarian states.

The campaigns to intimidate IndyMedia are not yet co-ordinated on a global scale, but we're slowly moving in that direction. The assasination of IndyMedia founding member Lenin Cali Najera of Equador just recently (comrades there are speculating that a death squad made his assasination appear as attempted robbery); the current trials in Italy springing from the concerted attack by paramilitary police against the IndyMedia facilities in 2001; the use of armoured vehicles to intimidate the IndyMedia workspace in Georgia USA just last month; and now the nation- wide "pre- emptive" raids and interrogations by FBI of radicals across the whole US in order to thwart preparations to protest at the two Republocrat party conventions, are pointing the way to a new phase of struggle for free and radical media activists. It is in this context that we are experiencing the intelligence investigation against Cyprus IndyMedia. The local/ regional politics are important, of course, everywhere, but the liberation Movement is now truly global, and repression is shaping up to adjust.

We seek to live in a world some day in which people are entirely free from corporate and state intervention in our lives, a world without borders, in which all of natural and social resources are owned collectively by the community and administered by the people for the people in free associations and peoples' councils operating on the basis of consensus, direct democracy, and face- to- face accountability. Is it too much to ask for? Perhaps. But it makes our struggles worthwhile. And the vision of global Peace and Justice, helps us endure many of the abuses by the machinery of state- sponsored terrorism.

If your embrace this cause, if this Movement is yours too, please help us. [...]

Many people have been writing or calling and asking how to help. Alerted by a global IndyMedia article about the case a few days ago, and also by the revelations on television and the press, even people with whom we might disagree on other items, have been outraged by this effort to silence and intimidate IndyMedia in Cyprus, particularly disturbed by the interrogation of one of our members' parents.

We are so very grateful for the outpouring of support and solidarity... your concern gives all of us strength, and helps us cultivate and maintain our morale.

The government intimidation of IndyMedia Cyprus and of Petros Evdokas by command of the US intelligence services, has been a pressing issue and rallying point for us in the last few weeks. We are so moved to receive your messages of support and to know that you are sharing our news with others in the struggle.

A reader of the above article comments: ...the shutters of a new grey fascism are closing down on the people... A new level of surveylance and harrasment and detention. The round ups will continue, and and state will become more and more paranoid. All it's measures will be justified by 'reasonable' excuses and justifications. Then they will come for you, and as you are lead away in the police car or ambulance into a ultimate nightmare, everyone continues to act as normal around you. It is your problem, you are mentally ill,and you must accept that you are ill, before you can start to heal...etc etc etc...We'll have you coming towards death star in no time!

Comment: So tell us, how is it that the US can successfully interfere with the affairs of a European nation (albeit a small, island nation), forcing that nation to conduct a surveillance operation on an alternative media site based in that country? The answer? The same way that the US is able to do exactly the same thing in many other countries around the world - economics. The "New Atlantis" for sure.

For those who have been living in a cave for the last ten years, Sign's of the Times is a front for the Cassiopaea cult, founded by Laura Knight-Jadczyk, a fat Floridan medium and conartist who fled the USA to escape fraud charges. Is currently hiding in France, using her base to pay rent on her castle and tempting the Streisand Effect by trying to get all articles about her and her scams removed from the English version of Wikipedia.

What are the chances an obscure cult leader, of an (at the time) obscure cult heard about and is blogging Evdokas' obscure "oppression" while Evdokas is being represented by another cult(Larouche) lawyer(Phil Berg), and Evdokas is not part of a cult network?

ZERO

Let the anarchist beware.

(More on the Cassiopaea Cult on our Cult Page coming soon!)

In late Sept 2012, Evdokas reprised his drama whoredom at Facebook, imploring Cypriots to kick the CIA out:

Petros Evdokas recommends a link.
September 25 at 4:13am ·
Time for Cyprus to kick out US AID (the civilian arm of the CIA), too. Well done, Putin!

rt.com
Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave USAID until October 1 to shut its doors in Moscow. This is an excellent decision by the Russian Government.
If it's time to kick the CIA out of Cyprus, including all affiliates like STRATFOR, Evdokas should start packing his bags.
